In 2005, I went to one of my favorite places in the whole world, Coney Island. I promptly went to the Coney Island Freak Sideshow and that is where I first saw and met Eek the Geek. He was the master of ceremonies at the Freak Show. He went on to get electrocuted in an electric chair with a light bulb in his mouth that would light up, he consumed nails and then invited the audience members to stand on his chest as he lied sandwiched between two beds of nails. He also walked barefoot on broken glass. I found out later that he was an artist, poet and had fronted various punk bands.
I was intrigued to find out that he decided to go to law school to become a lawyer. He told me that he hopes to be a lawyer who speaks for alternative people and to become the first freak lawyer. I went to meet Eek in Berlin and started to film him there and then in Prague along with Dave Smith. This clip is presently being edited and will be shown here some time in autumn.
